WELCOME
The Brisbane Combined Unions Choir has been singing since 1988 to raise awareness of issues of importance to working people and the broader community. We are a community choir open to all who share our belief in social justice and union values.
The Brisbane Combined Unions Choir is a self-funded community group organised by the members. The Choir rehearses every Thursday evening from 6:15 to 8:30pm at the United Workers Union building, 27 Peel Street, South Brisbane. The UWU building is an excellent location for rehearsals with easy access by bus, train, on-site parking and a great atmosphere. At present we have some 35 active members, and mostly sing songs ‘a cappella’ which we arrange in three or four ‘voices’ (Soprano, Alto,Tenor, and Bass).
We welcome new members and invite anyone interested in singing with us to come along to a rehearsal to find out more. As an open community choir, new members are not asked to audition or expected to have specialist musical skills.

A movement that sings will never die!
